Last night, our team presented for the third time an innovative concept for a mixed use building that stacks the overall massing and shifts it toward the heavily trafficked Main Street corridor, away from the 5 points district and Lockeland Springs Neighborhood in East Nashville. This 5-story proposal would provide more open space and offer 28 additional surface parking spaces for neighbors, residents and visitors. Although, this proposal is taller than the allowed 3-stories in the redevelopment guidelines, the developer is not requesting additional square footage than what could currently be built under current regulations. Wow, look at all that ground floor retail space! That will really activate the other side of Marche Artisan Foods and make the area super walkable!! I want to start lobbying for a Taste of Belgium restaurant!

I want to start lobbying for creative solutions to challenging parcels and a clamp down on neighbors who use #fakenews to fight projects they have no clue about from a zoning standpoint. I sure hope you guys got what you were asking for because what you are proposing is SO much better than what you will put there if they don’t clue in.
